Daniel Whitehouse

Dan Whitehouse completed a multidiscipline degree in Product Design and manufacturing after which he joined a Design Consultancy working on a varied portfolio of scientific and domestic hi-tech products. Dan subsequently worked in the Automotive industry for over 15 years, leading engineering and manufacturing activities within large international Tier 1 Automotive suppliers, specialising in complex safety and closure systems.
He then set up a business developing complex equipment for testing and certifying industrial new builds against L1 and L2 building regulations which was subsequently sold to a larger player within the accreditation market.
He then moved into renewables and was responsible for Wind Turbine blade development for the largest Wind Turbine Manufacturer within the industry. Dan led the Blades Global Aerodynamics, Structures and Systems teams developing some of the most complex and largest blades on the market.
Dan then joined Armfield initially leading the manufacturing and Engineering side of the business as Director before becoming Managing Director for the Group.
Dan now heads up the innovative team at Cowes Marine utilising his extensive manufacturing experience to develop our world class aluminium watercraft.

Guy Whitehouse

Guy studied Physics at Sheffield University and gained B.Sc (Hons) in 1995 followed by 8 years of years working in the IT industry where he specialized in the integration of technologies and services across large enterprises; software applications and hardware systems.  In 2003 Guy changed career and studied Yacht Design at the Landing School, Maine, USA.

He has a wide experience of the design and construction of yachts and commercial craft including past employment as Naval Architect at Stimson Yachts, a wide range of consulting roles as senior Naval Architect and 10 years as Director and Principle Naval Architect of Whitehouse Yacht Design Limited. 


Guy is better known for his award-winning designs of small yachts but also designs larger craft and consults on commercial projects in the roles as a lead Naval Architect and Surveyor for accreditation and certification.

Throughout his career he has sought to combine commercial success with advancing naval architecture and the marine sector through innovation and cross discipline cooperation.  In addition, he is currently an Inspector for IMCI (CE Accreditation body) and a member of the BMF and SuperYacht UK groups
